The Beautifully Mad

My  next post is an open thread, meaning I will start a discussion, and my readers are encouraged to respond with their opinion on the issue.

My focus for the thread is the "Beautifully Mad". There are many iconic figures throughout history and present day who have suffered from mental illness. I would like to ask my readers to follow up by commenting with the following information;

1. Who do you believe is the most influential US icon from past and present who has suffered/is currently suffering from mental illness.
2. What their mental illness is.
3. What they have done to make them most influential in your eyes.
4. Whether or not you believe their mental illness had anything to do with what they accomplished.

This is a friendly, open debate. All inputs are welcome and creativity is encouraged!

The Little Engine That Could

I just recently came across the most inspiring video on Facebook. It shows a motivated little boy about 2-3 years of age. This little "disabled" boy looks adversity right in the face and repeats "I got it. I got it." as he teaches himself how to walk.

Enjoy!

Without the Rain There Would Be No Rainbow

One day I was driving in a downpour rainstorm. I could barely see the road ahead of me. Just as I was about to pull off the road and wait it out, the storm cleared and just ahead of me was this beautiful sight.
As much as I hated that rainstorm, it went from something so miserable to a sight so beautiful.

Raibows... One of life's true beauties

Welcome!

Hello and Welcome!

Good Lemons was created for the purpose of expressing and sharing my love for the simple treasures of the world. The phrase "Good Lemons" is a play off of the phrase, "When life gives you lemons make lemonade". Good Lemons represents taking the everyday adversities you are faced with (the lemons) and turning them into something positive.

I will be posting things such as photos, daily realizations, meaningful articles, etc. that help keep the Good Lemons vibes going.

My hopes are to spread positive vibes to all my viewers, and help them see the world the way I do. Feel free to comment or contact me via email to share you experiences.

Stay positive,
Good Lemons
